Two Arrested for Firing Incident in Krishna Nagar, CCTV Trail Helps Police Crack Case

Lucknow: Police in Krishna Nagar Police Station have arrested two accused for allegedly opening fire to spread terror and attempting to intimidate residents in the LDA Colony area on Kanpur Road.

The arrests came after an intensive investigation in Lucknow, during which police scanned nearly 500 CCTV footage clips and relied on electronic evidence to trace the suspects. The duo was eventually apprehended from the Jevi Lawn turn.

Incident Details

According to police, the incident took place on April 30 when the accused reached the residence of Reena Yadav in LDA Colony and allegedly vandalised her Hyundai Creta. They then opened fire to create panic in the area.

Motive Linked to Dispute

Investigations revealed that the attack was triggered by a verbal altercation with Karan Yadav during a wedding function on April 29, coupled with an ongoing personal rivalry.

During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed that they were sent by Bhagat Yadav to create fear and pressure the victim’s family.

Accused and Criminal Background

The arrested individuals have been identified as Manish Yadav (30) and Jeetu Yadav (27), residents of Ajitankhera in Kakori.

Police officials stated that both accused have prior criminal records, with cases already registered against them at Para and Kakori police stations.

Investigation Continues

Authorities are continuing their probe to identify the role of other individuals involved in the conspiracy. Police have assured strict action against all those found responsible, reiterating their commitment to maintaining law and order in the city.
